Effective date: July 12, 2026

This privacy policy applies only to the Windows app IronPulse (Microsoft Store identity Ironwoodapps.IronPulse), published by Ironwood Apps (publisher display name Ironwoodapps).

1. Summary

IronPulse does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal data with Ironwood Apps. Performance readings, widget layout, and settings stay on your PC. IronPulse does not create an Ironwood Apps account and does not ask you to sign in to use the app.

2. Who is responsible

Ironwood Apps is the developer and publisher of IronPulse on the Microsoft Store. For privacy questions about IronPulse, email support@ironwoodapps.com.

3. What IronPulse does

IronPulse is a lightweight Windows taskbar widget that shows live system vitals such as CPU load, clock, temperature, memory use, network throughput, and selected drive capacity so you can glance at machine health without opening Task Manager.

4. Information processed on your device

IronPulse processes the following information locally on your PC:

  • Hardware and OS performance counters (CPU, memory, disks, network adapters)
  • Optional sensor readings such as CPU temperature when available on your hardware
  • Settings in the app you choose (which gauges to show, scale, font size, screen position, startup preference, and similar preferences)
  • Local crash or diagnostic text files the app may write for troubleshooting on your PC

Settings are stored under your Windows user profile (for example in %LocalAppData%\IronPulse). They are not transmitted to Ironwood Apps servers.

5. Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts for an IronPulse account
  • We do not upload performance readings, screenshots, or settings to Ironwood Apps
  • We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to data brokers
  • We do not build advertising profiles from IronPulse usage
  • We do not require an Ironwood Apps login to run the app

6. Internet use and third parties

IronPulse is designed to run offline for its core monitoring features. It does not phone home with telemetry to Ironwood Apps.

Network activity may occur only when:

  • You open a link from the app (for example the product page or this privacy policy) in your default browser.
  • Microsoft Store / Windows Update: installing, updating, or restoring IronPulse through the Store. Install, crash, and update information may be processed by Microsoft under Microsoft’s policies as the store and platform operator. Ironwood Apps does not receive your payment card number from those flows.

7. Permissions and system access

IronPulse may use ordinary Windows capabilities needed for a system monitor, including:

  • Reading performance counters and drive capacity for the gauges you enable
  • Reading optional hardware sensors for temperature when supported
  • Writing settings and optional local log files under your user profile
  • Optional “run at startup” via the current user Windows Run key when you enable it in the installer or tray menu
  • Showing a desktop or Start Menu shortcut when you choose those options at install

IronPulse does not require administrator elevation for a normal per user install. It does not need camera, microphone, contacts, or location access.

8. Payments

IronPulse is offered as free software. If you obtain it from the Microsoft Store, any store account, billing, or refund handling is governed by Microsoft’s terms. Ironwood Apps does not store payment credentials for IronPulse.

9. Data retention and deletion

  • Local IronPulse settings remain until you delete them or uninstall the app (some settings folders may remain after uninstall so a reinstall can pick them up again).
  • You can remove local data by deleting %LocalAppData%\IronPulse and, if present, the install folder under %LocalAppData%\Programs\IronPulse.
  • Because Ironwood Apps does not host your IronPulse settings or readings, there is no Ironwood Apps cloud copy for us to delete.

10. Security

We design IronPulse so monitoring stays on your PC. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, but we do not operate an IronPulse user data backend that stores your performance readings or settings.

11. Children

IronPulse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through IronPulse, contact support@ironwoodapps.com and we will help address it. Microsoft Store age ratings and family policies may also apply to how the store distributes the app.

12. Your choices and rights

  • You can disable “run at startup” from the tray menu or Windows startup settings.
  • You can hide individual gauges or quit the app at any time.
  • You can uninstall IronPulse from Apps & features or the Microsoft Store.
  • You can delete the local settings folder described above.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, or obtain information about personal data. For IronPulse monitoring data and settings, that information is on your device under your control. For any other privacy request, email support@ironwoodapps.com.

13. International users

IronPulse is designed for processing on your device. If you use Microsoft Store install or update services, those connections are processed by Microsoft under Microsoft’s terms and locations.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this IronPulse Privacy Policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of IronPulse after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted on ironwoodapps.com or in a store listing update.
