IronBat Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies only to the Android app IronBat (package name com.ironwoodapps.ironbat), published by IronWoodApps.

1. Summary

IronBat does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal data with IronWoodApps. Battery readings, usage estimates, display preferences, and alarms stay on your device. IronBat does not create an IronWoodApps user account and does not ask you to sign in to use the app.

2. Who is responsible

IronWoodApps is the developer and publisher of IronBat on Google Play. For privacy questions about IronBat, email support@ironwoodapps.com.

3. What IronBat does

IronBat helps you care for your phone’s battery: live charge status, capacity wear estimates, charge and temperature alarms, drain insight, display dim / blue light controls, and guided power saving profiles. Processing happens on your phone.

4. Information processed on your device

IronBat processes the following information locally on your device:

  • Battery level, charging state, temperature, voltage, and related system battery signals
  • Estimated capacity health / wear when the device exposes that information
  • Optional usage access data for drain estimates and IronBat’s own battery use readout
  • Settings in the app you choose (theme, charge alarm %, display preferences, power profiles)
  • Optional brightness / blue light overlay settings when you grant related Android permissions

This information is stored in Android storage on your device belonging to IronBat. It is not transmitted to IronWoodApps servers.

5. Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts for an IronBat account
  • We do not upload your battery history, app drain list, or screenshots to IronWoodApps
  • We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to data brokers
  • We do not build advertising profiles

6. Internet use and third parties

IronBat is designed to work offline for core battery monitoring. It may use the network only for:

  • Opening IronWoodApps website pages you choose (for example the privacy policy or support)
  • Google Play: installing and updating the app. Google’s processing is governed by Google’s policies.
  • Future Google Play Billing (optional Pro unlock): if IronBat later offers a paid unlock, payment details are handled by Google, not by IronWoodApps.

7. Permissions

IronBat may ask for Android permissions so features can work. Examples:

  • Notifications: charge and temperature alarms
  • Usage access: optional drain estimates
  • Modify system settings: optional brightness control
  • Display over other apps: optional blue light overlay
  • Foreground service: keep charge monitoring reliable in the background

You can deny optional permissions; related features will be limited or open system settings instead.

8. Children

IronBat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when IronBat changes. The effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
