IronCast Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Windows app IronCast, published by Ironwood Apps.

1. Summary
IronCast does not create an Ironwood Apps account. Casting stays on your PC and local network. The licensed edition may send a license key to Polar, which is the merchant of record for the $10/year subscription.
2. What IronCast does on your PC
- Discovers compatible receivers on your local network using multicast DNS
- Captures the monitor you select (and optionally system audio)
- Encodes that capture on your PC and sends it to the display you choose
- Stores preferences in your Windows user profile under IronwoodApps\IronCast
3. What we do not collect
- No Ironwood Apps login
- No advertising ID, crash telemetry, or usage analytics by default
- Screen contents are not uploaded to Ironwood Apps
- Ironwood Apps does not store names, emails, or cards from Polar checkout
4. Polar (licensed edition)
When you buy or renew IronCast, Polar is the legal seller. Polar holds payment and tax data. The app may send Polar a license key and a machine label to check that the subscription is still valid. Polar's own privacy policy applies to checkout.
5. Local network
The selected receiver (for example a TV or Apple TV on your Wi-Fi) will receive the live stream you start. Anyone who can view that screen can see yours.
